Next, arrive at Kemenuh village at 10:30 and find some of the best wood carvers in Bali. Influenced by Hinduism, talented artists work on creative designs in the forest, such as ebony, hibiscus and teak. Learn about their craft techniques.
Then, go to Elephant Cave, also known as Goa Gajah. See a 7 meter high cave built on a cliff. Admire the figure of the entrance to a Balinese holistic animal known as “Boma.” See beautiful Hindu temples and surrounding plantations and see some of the cave artifacts. Enjoy lunch (own expense) around 12:00.
Continue after lunch to Tirta Empul Temple in Tampaksiring. Enjoy the holy atmosphere of this site. Admire the extraordinary Balinese architecture around the temple before being transferred to Ceking’s Rice Terrace in the village of Tegalalang. See how the fields have been beautifully designed using plantations and coconut trees as ornaments. Take a leisurely walk around the rice fields if you want, before returning to the hotel around 16:00.
